It’s simple. If you want to be respected as a chat room participant, follow these rules:
1. No Spam – This rule is a simple one. This means no repetitive text or entering text more than once right after another. This can lead to a kick or ban if done more than once after being told by a moderator or David. This rule also includes linking to other sites. Linking may be done once or twice within an hour. If your linking exceeds more than specified above a moderator will warn you.
2. No Offensive Language – This rule is to protect younger viewers and chatters. The same goes for sexual terms or profanity. If you curse or use sexual terms you will be warned. If it continues to happen you will be kicked. If continued further you will be banned. This rule also includes talking to any moderator or David in a way that can be considered offensive. This means no cursing or serious name calling.
3. Impersonation – This rule is very basic. Do not impersonate other users. This means making usernames that look very similar to others by switching letters of leaving letters off. Ex. Username: Thecreativeone Impersonation: Thecraetiveone If you do impersonate others you will be warned to change your nick by doing /nick (new nickname) If you do not change your nickname when warned you could be either kicked or banned.
4. Do Not Use All Caps – This one is very easy to avoid. No caps. All you have to do is not type in all capital letters. So if the key next to the A key and above the shift key, has a green light on or in the top corner of your keyboard this means caps is activated. Just make sure it stays off and you will be all set.
5. Logging In – Now this one is not considered a rule exactly. This is just a simple thing to do. If you want to chat in the chat room all you have to do is log into the chat room by just typing in a username and clicking login. After logged in its a good idea that you register your username so no one else can use it. To do so click the options button in the chat room then scroll down to register, fill in all the required info also note that you have to have been using the nickname for at least 120 seconds in-order to register it. Once you are able to register your username you will be sent an email with a verification code with steps on how to verify your username using the chat room. Once done you are now able to chat.
We hope this helps you in the future, and keeps you away from rule breaking.
